Our Caregivers

Home Choice knows the difficulty of having a caregiver come into your home. After all, in some cases, this will be the first time this type of service is being provided. That is why our guaranteed compatibility services will give you one caregiver for the entire shift, as opposed to shuffling several people throughout the week while guaranteeing your caregiver will be the perfect match. In addition to one person providing care in your home, we will introduce a second caregiver to meet the family and learn the routine for when the primary caregiver needs a day off so there are no surprises or call-outs.

We only hire experienced caregivers

We do not believe in on the job training. We only recruit the best people. Our caregivers must have at least two years experience, be well spoken, neat in appearance and be able to pass multiple background checks and interviews to ensure that we are providing you with the best caregiver possible.

Home Choice gives you piece of mind for you and your loved one knowing that all of our caregivers are bonded and insured. In addition our Caregivers are trained to the highest level of industry standards and are tested annually. We have Companions as well as certified nursing assistants and all employees must pass an extensive screening process prior to being placed in your home.

This process includes:

  • Criminal background check, state and federal
  • Annual competency testing
  • Written reference checks and proof of prior employment
  •  Annual health screening including PPD
  • Must be neat in appearance
  • Must be well spoken

Their role is to reduce isolation, provide oversight, and help clients live comfortably at home. They do not perform hands-on medical or personal care.

    • At Home Choice Companion Care, we require all companions to undergo background checks, reference checks, and training to align with our quality standards.
